Distinguished Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi has reaffirmed that the foundation of enduring political success lies in grassroots mobilisation, community development, and sustained engagement with the people.
Speaking on the dynamics of electoral politics, Senator Fadahunsi stressed that endorsements from influential political figures alone cannot guarantee electoral victory. He maintained that every aspirant must earn the trust, confidence, and support of party members and constituents through direct interaction, effective representation, and service to the people.
According to the lawmaker, successful politicians understand the importance of following the electoral process from the ward level through the various stages of party administration to the national headquarters, ensuring that the mandate of the people is protected and respected at every level.
He emphasized that politics remains fundamentally local, noting that leaders who distance themselves from their grassroots base often lose touch with the realities and aspirations of the people they seek to represent.
The senator further highlighted the critical role played by community leaders, religious leaders, and traditional rulers in mobilising support, fostering unity, and strengthening democratic participation within their communities.
He observed that maintaining strong relationships with constituents through regular engagement, responsiveness to their concerns, and support during challenging periods remains essential for political relevance and electoral success.
Reflecting on his record in public service, Senator Fadahunsi pointed to several constituency intervention projects undertaken across his district. These, he said, include the construction of roads and bridges, distribution of electricity transformers to underserved communities, agricultural support programmes, and numerous empowerment initiatives designed to improve the socio-economic well-being of residents.
