The All Progressives Congress has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, following the commissioning of key judicial infrastructure projects in Abuja aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s justice system.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the APC praised the successful inauguration of a new Court of Appeal Complex equipped with modern facilities, alongside a 20-unit residential quarters for Court of Appeal Justices and Federal High Court Judges. The party also welcomed the planned commissioning of an additional 20-unit housing estate for judges of the Federal Capital Territory.
The ruling party further lauded the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of residential quarters for judges of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria and the Code of Conduct Tribunal, projects expected to be completed by January 2027.
According to the APC, the projects reflect President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening democratic institutions, promoting the rule of law, safeguarding judicial independence, and improving the welfare of judicial officers across the country.
The party noted that providing world-class court facilities and quality accommodation for judges represents a strategic investment in the administration of justice and the consolidation of democratic governance. It added that improved working and living conditions for judicial officers would enhance efficiency and bolster public confidence in the justice system.
The APC also commended Wike for what it described as his dedication, leadership, and timely execution of critical projects aligned with the administration’s broader agenda of institutional reform and infrastructure development.
The party said the projects, coming as the Tinubu administration marks its third anniversary, underscore the government’s determination to strengthen justice delivery, uphold the rule of law, and deepen Nigeria’s democratic culture.
