A pro-government support group, CG Musa 4 PBAT Group, has formally launched its activities and declared support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking during a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, the Director General of the group, Barr. Babakura Waziri, said the movement was established to mobilize grassroots support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and promote public awareness of the administration’s policies and achievements.

Waziri explained that the group comprises Nigerians from diverse backgrounds who share a common belief in the President’s leadership, vision, and commitment to national development.

According to him, the movement draws inspiration from the leadership of General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd), Honourable Minister of Defence, and seeks to support initiatives aimed at strengthening national unity, economic growth, security, and infrastructure development.

Also speaking, the group’s Director of Publicity, Usman Saleh Hassan, said President Tinubu’s decision to entrust critical national responsibilities to capable and experienced individuals such as General Musa reflects a leadership style rooted in competence, merit, and strategic thinking.

He cited the famous observation by political philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli that, “The first method of estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him,” adding that President Tinubu’s appointments demonstrate his commitment to placing qualified individuals in positions of responsibility.

Highlighting the reasons behind the group’s endorsement of the President, Waziri pointed to the administration’s economic reforms, efforts to strengthen national security, youth empowerment initiatives, infrastructure development projects, and commitment to inclusive governance.

He noted that members of the group believe continuity in leadership would enable the country to consolidate ongoing reforms and maximize the benefits of developmental programmes already initiated by the current administration.

“The Renewed Hope Agenda has created a pathway for economic recovery, institutional reforms, infrastructure expansion, and youth development. We believe sustained implementation of these policies is essential for achieving long-term national progress,” Waziri said.

The group also expressed confidence in the administration’s efforts to address security challenges and strengthen Nigeria’s defence capabilities through strategic investments and reforms within the security sector.

Calling on Nigerians to support the administration’s vision, Waziri urged youths, women, community leaders, and other stakeholders to actively participate in nation-building and contribute to the country’s development.

He added that the CG Musa 4 PBAT Group would continue grassroots engagement and public sensitization campaigns across the country in support of policies aimed at promoting national development, peace, and stability.

The movement maintained that a united effort by citizens and government remains critical to building a secure, prosperous, and economically vibrant Nigeria.
