Senator Neda Bernards Imasuen of Edo State has praised the All Progressives Congress (APC) 8th National Convention, describing it as a demonstration of both party unity and national cohesion.

Speaking after the president’s address, Senator Imasuen emphasized the emphasis on Nigeria’s democratic freedoms. “The president made it clear that Nigeria is not a one-party state. Every citizen is free to exercise their rights to movement and association without any pressure,” he said, adding that the convention reinforced these principles.

He noted that the gathering successfully highlighted the harmony within the APC, linking internal party unity to the broader stability of the nation. “The convention has achieved its objectives. It has showcased the unity of the party, which mirrors the unity of the country,” Senator Imasuen stated.

On governance continuity, the senator reflected on the president’s achievements over the past three years. He pointed to economic stabilization, improved naira-dollar rates, and initiatives benefiting youth, including a student loan program currently assisting nearly one million students.

“Looking at the progress in infrastructure, human development, and the economy, maintaining this trajectory will ensure Nigeria continues to advance,” he said. “Continuation of these policies promises stability, growth, and development across sectors.”

Senator Imasuen expressed optimism that ongoing policies would strengthen Nigeria’s economy and infrastructure. “If we sustain this path, the country is emerging stronger. Progress and improved opportunities are what Nigerians can expect,” he added.

The convention, held in Abuja, attracted party leaders, stakeholders, and delegates from across the country, with discussions centered on unity, governance continuity, and national development priorities.

As the event concluded, participants reiterated the APC’s commitment to inclusive governance, with Senator Imasuen affirming that the party remains focused on delivering tangible results for Nigerians.
