The 8th National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been framed as a defining moment for the ruling party, with key stakeholders pledging a transparent process and renewed commitment to delivering impactful governance under the “Renewed Hope” agenda.

Speaking at the convention, the National Coordinator of the Inukunas National Think Tank, Hon. Adewale Adeogun, expressed appreciation to party leaders, support groups across the South-West, and members of the governing council of the University of Okinawa for their contributions to the event’s success.

He noted that the theme of the convention, “Delivering More to the People,” reflects the administration’s focus on consolidating its achievements and expanding the impact of its policies on citizens’ lives.

According to Adewu, nearly three years into the current administration, the government has recorded significant progress across key sectors, driven by policy reforms and strategic governance initiatives introduced by President Bola Tinubu.

He emphasized that Nigerians should expect even greater results before the end of the administration’s tenure, as the government continues to refine its strategies and deepen policy implementation.

On the conduct of the convention, Adewu assured party members and observers that all arrangements had been concluded to ensure a transparent and credible exercise, in line with the party’s constitution and Nigeria’s electoral laws.

He described the convention as one of the most well-organized in the country’s political history, expressing confidence that the process would set a new benchmark for internal party democracy.

Adewu further explained that the party’s approach to decision-making—whether through consensus or other constitutionally recognized methods—would be carried out openly, with the outcome reflecting the will of party members.

He urged Nigerians to continue supporting the administration, noting that President Tinubu assumed office at a critical period when the nation faced significant challenges, but has since worked to stabilize the system and reposition the country for sustainable growth.
