Honorable member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency, Hon Pascal Agbodike has lauded the leadership style of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a true democrat.
In an interview in Abuja, the lawmaker urged Nigerians to support and pray for the President because, according to him, if the president succeeds, Nigeria succeeds.
Hon Pascal accentuated that Tinubu is a true democrat who has enormous experience to handle the economy of Nigeria, having been a governor, a senator and now occupying the number one seat of power in Nigeria.
“We should talk about Nigeria as an entity above all party affiliations. When elections have been conducted and a winner emerged, next thing we should talk about is governance. Both the leader and the led should work together for good.
“ it shouldn’t be, if it is not my party, Nigeria should be destroyed, No, if we are trying to fight down the President, we are fighting more than 200 million Nigerians. If our President is healthy, Nigeria is healthy.
“Let’s give the President a deserving support to revamp the economy of Nigeria. Let us learn to do the right thing.
“I am not a member of the APC, I am from the opposition. I am the caucus leader of one of the biggest opposition party that produced one of the best governors in Nigeria, a former CBN Governor, the Governor of Anambra state, Prof Charles Soludo, a professor of economics. I have seen the way he rapports with Mr President. It shows that both of them are Progressives.
“The President is rallying round with most of the Governors that are doing well, irrespective of their political affiliation. Mr President said that the project he has is Project-Nigeria and not project political party. So let us join hands and make Nigeria better.
“I also want to thank the leadership of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbas who was decorated with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), while the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, was decorated with the Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) award.
